Product Sourcing Preferences

This guide reviews how to set up Product Sourcing Preferences.

1. Click on Settings:

• Settings will house multiple options, for this particular exercise we will be selecting “ product sourcing preferences”

2. Select Community:

• After accessing the Product Sourcing Preferences tab, the product sourcing menu will be introduced with all product sourcing options, but the first step would be to ensure that the correct community is selected in the drop down menu ( only applies to multi-property users).
  
  

3. Product Sourcing Preferences: Choose your preference

• By choosing your preference, RE-OPS will  streamline your purchasing by setting product sourcing preferences in RE-Ops. You can prioritize vendors based on pricing, availability, and relationships. The three initial preferences offered are:
  
  
  • Preferred Supplier(s) HIGHLIGHTED:
    

In this scenario, your organization/property will specify one or more preferred suppliers.Product offerings from the preferred supplier(s) will be presented first, followed by all other supplier offers, sorted by price.

• • Preferred Supplier(s) ONLY:
    

In this scenario, your organization/property will specify one or more preferred suppliers. Assuming the product is available with the preferred supplier(s), the organization/property will only see product offers from their preferred supplier(s). No other supplier offers will be included/shown. If the preferred supplier(s) does not have the product available, then all suppliers with product availability will be shown in the list, sorted by price.

• • Availability & Price:

In this scenario, your organization/property has no preference as it relates to which sellers are used to source products/supplies. All suppliers with product availability will be shown in the list, sorted by price.
